V-Day - THE Day (AFET's Valentine's Celebration 2009)

It was the day everyone has looked forward to - a day full of warmth and love. Yes, indeed, February 14 – Valentine’s or Heart’s Day. To celebrate it, a program was held at Mercado Lama. The AFET Board of Directors along with the hardworking volunteers managed to do a job well done, putting up a two-part program. The first one was a mini concert to serenade the crowd, followed by the disco dancing as well as the performance of the band. In between was the giving out of prizes to the lucky ticket holders. Included in the prizes were Smart sim cards, grocery baskets, stand fans and DVD player for the grand prize.

AFET BODs (Board of Directors) are also happy to inform everyone that IDs were finally distributed during the event. Are you an AFET ID holder now? If not, fill out the forms, pay the fee and have your photo taken – it’s as simple as that. For more information, do not hesitate to get hold of one of the officers for clarifications and verifications. They are here to serve.

In conclusion, the event was a real success, from the preparation, attendees, and performances and down to the food – they’re just super. Don’t miss out on the next event.
