AFET Board & Friends' Good Friday

Members of the AFET Board led by its President, Mitz Mendoza, spent a very holy and spiritually fruitful Good Friday this 2007. The AFET officers’ spiritual walk with Christ started early at 6:35am with the Stations of the Cross at Cristo Rei organized by Couples for Christ Timor-Leste Mission headed by Mon Santiago. Most of Dili was still asleep but AFET Board and friends from UN agencies, UNPOL and international NGOs woke up early to celebrate their Good Friday in a solemn way. About 30 people completed the Stations by 8:00am.

The participants went home spiritually satisfied knowing that even in their own small way, they remembered and shared in the passion and death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A Recollection, which was the first ever spiritual activity since AFET 2002 was followed and was part of the strategic Planning Session of the newly-inducted officers and CSAs.

It was a very significant activity because it recognizes the important role of God in the lives of His people and the significance of having the right relationship between God and among His children.
